Mnemosyne is the goddess of memory and the muses (and I'm sure her domain extends to other areas) and we all know the purpose of a mask 8)
This pendant testifies to the many historic events of our histories that were wrongfully done, unjustified, and, in so many cases, atrocities. Somehow, we reflect on these events as something that was righteous and necessary to our progress.
